The Cowboys got a commitment from UCF transfer Jordan Burks on Saturday. Burks is a 6-foot-9 forward who shot 37.3% from 3-point range for the Knights last season. He posted news of his commitment on Instagram.
Burks is originally from Decatur, Alabama, and began his career at Kentucky before heading to Georgetown for his sophomore season.
The long-bodied wing averaged 13.3 points and 4.8 rebounds for UCF in his junior year, posting five games of at least 20 points. And in all five, he hit at least four 3-pointers.
Burks is the sixth transfer portal prospect the Cowboys have added this spring, to go with four high school signees. With four players remaining from last year’s squad, the Cowboys have one vacancy left on the roster.
