Akron City FC announced Feb. 25 that its six home games will be played at the University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium for the 2026 season.
The soccer club will leave its home of the prior four seasons at the Green Street Stadium at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School as the venue is updated.

“St. Vincent-St. Mary will be replacing its turf this summer, and we’re excited for them as they invest in their facilities,” team owner Nick Turchan said. “They have been a tremendous partner to Akron City FC since day one, and we’re grateful for the role they have played in our growth.”
Turchan, in a statement, said he was looking forward to continued growth at InfoCision. A spokesman from UA concurred.
“The University of Akron and the Department of Athletics is happy to be able to host Akron City FC matches this summer at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Health Field,” said Allan Hoon, associate athletics director of operations and events. “We welcome the opportunity to have the Akron community and this team on campus and in our venues."
InfoCision Stadium seats 30,000 people. In addition to Akron Zips football games, high-profile high school football games are played at the stadium. The Division II state semifinal between Walsh Jesuit and Avon was held at the stadium in November.
Akron City FC plays as part of USL Two, a pre-professional league in the United States with more than 140 teams across 37 states.
Akron plays in the league’s Central Conference in the Great Forest Division. The league focuses on regional matchups.
Akron’s division includes the Cleveland Force SC, Erie Sports Center, FC Buffalo, Lorain County Leviathan FC, Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2 and Steel City FC.
