Western Railway Enhances Greater Comfort To Commuters With Additional AC Travel Options

Over the last few years, there has been a substantial rise in the number of commuters travelling by AC local trains over Western Railway. Looking at popularity and growing demand by the commuters, Western Railway is continuously increasing the number of AC local services over Mumbai Suburban section. Presently, WR is running 133 AC local services on weekdays i.e. Monday to Friday over its suburban network, whereas on weekends i.e. on Saturdays and Sundays, it has significantly increased to 106, further enhancing comfort and convenience for weekend commuters.
According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, WR has introduced many local train services in this year, including AC services. In the month of January, 12 AC local services were introduced and then, 12 more were added in February. With the introduction of these services, the total number of AC services over WR has increased to 133. The increased number of AC services has enabled commuters to enjoy a convenient, comfortable and cool travel experience, even on weekends.

Vineet further stated that AC local trains, offers enhanced travel comfort, and have been receiving a steady and positive response from commuters across different sections of the suburban network. The availability of additional AC services on weekends has particularly benefited passengers travelling for work, leisure and other personal purposes. This will also be a huge relief to commuters, especially during the ensuing summer season.
