Rams Meet With USC Star Makai Lemon at NFL Combine

The Los Angeles Rams, who have an elite offense already, met with wide receiver Makai Lemon at the NFL Draft Combine, according to the player.

During the NFL Combine, Lemon stole the show on Friday’s media day, catching fans’ attention on social media for his blunt answers and mannerisms.

He ended up confirming that he met with the Rams during the Combine, creating another link between the Los Angeles-based team and Southern California product.

On its face, the Rams adding another receiver does not make too much sense since the offense was so elite with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, both of whom are returning to the team.

However, Adams is on the older side, and Lemon would give the team an A+ third option, creating a true dynamic duo for the future.

Lemon comes in as a refined route runner with good hands and not the elite tools needed to be a true X reciever, but makes up for it with separation and aggressiveness at the catch point.

Also, he offers a good degree of humility about how much he will see the field.

“Just not seeing the field….not getting those opportunities getting presented to myself,” Lemon said.

“Taught me to be patient, stay down, keep working hard, and when they do come up, take full advantage. Don’t take any opportunity for granted.”
