SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke College football team also hit the field Thursday afternoon for spring practice. The Maroons finished their first official season of varsity competition since 1942 with a 5-4 record and finished 4-4 in ODAC play. They have many local athletes as well as coaches returning for their 2026 campaign. For Roanoke College head football coach Bryan Stinespring, the spring season is all about cleaning up the little things while increasing the productivity of the team while understanding there’s always room for improvement. The Maroons open their 2026 campaign on Saturday, September 5th at the Virginia University of Lynchburg…followed by their home opener September 12th as they host Greensboro College.
