Jannik Sinner is a sporting marvel, and at the age of 13 had the option of going professional in tennis or ski racing.

Fortunately for us, he chose the former, and is now a four-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one.

However, that has not stopped him from continuing to explore other sports, with F1 another particular passion of his.

Sinner has now discussed the potential of adding another sport to his repertoire, but would only consider it if Carlos Alcaraz joined him.

Jannik Sinner speaks about playing padel tennis with Carlos Alcaraz

Speaking to Tennis Channel earlier this week, he was asked what it would take for him and Alcaraz to join forces in padel tennis, after the Spaniard was seen watching the sport in Miami.

He laughed as he admitted: “If he says so, he needs to run and play for both, because me in padel, I’m not great.

“But we all know what Carlos is capable of doing, in every sport, so he’s playing good golf, you, good padel, obviously, amazing tennis player, and skiing, I do for both, so, yeah [laughs].”

Jannik Sinner speaks about his golf level

With Padel clearly not at the top of Sinner’s list of sports, he did reference golf as one of his growing recreational activities to detach himself from tennis.

However, he does not take it quite as seriously as Alcaraz, who seems to take any opportunity to get a round in.

Sinner, meanwhile, rated his own level back in 2023 in typically humble fashion.

Speaking after he had just won the Canadian Open, he smiled as he claimed: “I’m really poor but I like it, it allows me to disconnect while remaining immersed in nature.
