How worried should we be about Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown being injured this close to the 2026 NBA Playoffs? The fact that the Georgia native is dealing with Achilles tendinitis just as his Celtics are reintegrating his costar on the wing Jayson Tatum from an Achilles tendon injury is enough to get the hackles of most Boston fans up.
And understandably so given what most of us thought we would be getting from the Celtics this season in what many an analyst framed as a 'gap year'. Now that Boston is looking like a genuine contender, fans of the team are worried they might not see Brown again soon – or maybe even at all, depending on how severe that Achilles tendinitis actually is for the Cal alum.
