Rioux, who is listed at 7-foot-9 and 305 pounds, did not play during his red-shirt season in 2024-25. He appeared in just 11 games this season. Rioux made 3 of 6 shots and 1 of 2 free throw attempts for seven points for the Gators.

The 20-year-old Quebec, Canada, native recorded six rebounds, one assist and a turnover. He also picked up two fouls over his 16 minutes of action.

"It's truly hard to put into words what these last two years and this experience has meant to me," Rioux wrote on social media. "From being raised in the province of Quebec back home in Canada, to representing this incredible program, wearing these colors and competing at the highest level has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

"After taking time to reflect on my journey and what's best for my future, I've decided to enter the transfer portal."

Rioux will have three years of remaining collegiate eligibility.

"Winning the national championship last year was a dream come true for all of us," Rioux wrote. "It's something we worked for every single day, and to experience that moment together is something I will cherish forever. I will take these memories with me for the rest of my life."
