After sitting out for over a month with a fractured hand, Suns forward Dillon Brooks will make his return to the court on Tuesday against the Orlando Magic, according to Arizona Central’s Duane Rankin.

The timing couldn’t be more critical, as Phoenix faces Orlando on the second night of a back-to-back. If this season’s history is any indication, the team has struggled in back-to-back games. Brooks’ return brings stability to the starting lineup and rotation, providing a fresh, high-impact player ready to contribute immediately.

More than just a fresh player, Brooks is one of the Suns’ leading scorers and a key tone-setter, whose competitive edge has often been the difference in close wins this season. In 2025–26, he’s averaging 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, making his absence difficult to replace.

Despite missing one of its starters, Phoenix has held its own, posting back-to-back wins over the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz in its last three games.

Now 42-33 and holding the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference, the Suns hope that Brooks’ return will help them move closer to the No. 6 seed. They sit 3.5 games back with seven games remaining, aiming to secure a direct playoff spot and avoid the play-in tournament.

Brooks won’t have time to ease back into action; he’ll be expected to hit the ground running and perform at the same high level he did before the injury to help the Suns reach their postseason goals.
