Indore News: Smart City, Airport Smarter, Rises To 3rd Spot In Nat’l Rankings

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport has made a significant jump in passenger amenities rankings in 2025, rising from 10th to third position in the country.

On the occasion of the Airports Authority of India’s (AAI) 31st annual day, Airport Director Sunil Maggirwar was honoured on Tuesday.

The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey is conducted annually by the Airports Council International (ACI). The airport scored 4.92 out of 5, up from 4.82 in 2024, improving by 0.10 points and climbing seven positions.

The survey covers 98 airports globally, including 16 in India and 18 in the Asia-Pacific region, handling annual passenger traffic of over 1.8 million. Feedback is collected from arriving and departing passengers across 31 parameters, including cleanliness, parking, staff behaviour, shopping and dining.

This year, the airport improved its performance in 30 of the 31 parameters, with a slight decline recorded only in passport staff behaviour.

‘Goal to achieve top slot’

“This achievement reflects our efforts, and our goal is for the airport to secure the top position not only in the country but globally by 2026,” said Sunil Maggirwar, Director, Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport.
