He took his first visit to the program in January during a Junior Day event, and he praised the culture in Tallahassee.

“I wanted to see the campus and how the culture was, because you hear good things about it,” Johnson said. “It’s all true. There is a great culture here, and it all seemed very family like, and I really like that.”

The 6-foot-4.5, 235-pounder has now locked in an official visit to FSU. Per Noles247's Chris Nee, Johnson will be back on campus on June 5.

Johnson was productive as a junior for Upperman High School. He finished with 37 receptions for 615 yards and four touchdowns. Johnson also contributed in a large way on defense as he amassed 133 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup.

The 247Sports composite rankings have Johnson listed as the No. 537 player and the No. 32 tight end in the nation. They have him ranked as the No. 26 prospect in Tennessee.
