Perry committed to BYU before the season and enrolled midyear where he redshirted the second half of the season. A 6-foot-2 combo guard, Perry was rated as the #1 JUCO player in 2026 class when he committed to BYU. KJ had chose BYU over other offers from Kansas, Oregon, TCU, SMU, NC State, Cincinnati, Cal, Arizona State, and several others. Perry is an explosive athlete who can play either guard spot.
BYU brought him in to eventually be another ball handler and scoring option, but Perry will be on the lookout for another school. BYU and Perry mutually decided that new school would be in his best interest long term. He will be a redshirt sophomore next season and have three years of eligibility remaining.
