The Liberty have made a splash early in free agency, signing All-Star Satou Sabally and bringing back Jonquel Jones on multi-year deals, according to multiple reports.

Jones has been great since arriving in New York back in 2023. The former WNBA MVP has helped the Liberty get to two WNBA Finals and win one -- Jones was the 2024 Finals MVP.
Last season, Jones averaged 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds across 31 games, but was sidelined due to an injury that put a halt to her MVP start.
As for Sabally, the three-time All-Star is a big get for the Liberty. Sabally helped lead the Phoenix Mercury to the WNBA Finals last year after averaging 16.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
Satou Sabally is the sister of Nyara Sabally, whom the Liberty lost in the expansion draft to the newly-formed Toronto Tempo.
Sabally's addition and the reunion of Jones mean the Liberty starting lineup will consist of Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Jones and Sabally.
Ionescu and Stewart are free agents, but both have voiced plans to re-sign with the Liberty during free agency.
The Liberty are far from done in free agency. New York reportedly intends to re-sign Marine Johannes and have already extended a reserved qualifying offer to Rebekah Gardner.
There's also uncertainty regarding Natasha Cloud, who made her mark in her first season with the Liberty a year ago, and is also a free agent.
Training camp opens April 19, and the season starts May 8.
