In Pretoria, there is a 70% chance of rain on Monday, with temperatures reaching a high of around 21°C and a low of 14°C. Showers are expected to persist for most of the day.
On Tuesday, temperatures are forecast to climb to a high of 25°C, with a 30% chance of rain. For the remainder of the week, AccuWeather predicts a 60% chance of thunderstorms across much of Gauteng.
Johannesburg is expected to experience a noticeable drop in temperatures from Monday, with a minimum of 13°C and a maximum of 19°C, along with a 60% chance of rain. Temperatures are likely to remain relatively low throughout the week.
Early forecasts suggest temperatures will stay in the low teens in the mornings, with afternoon thunderstorms expected on most days.
During this period, temperatures gradually decline, with warm afternoons giving way to cooler mornings and evenings.
Autumn in the region is also characterised by changing and unpredictable weather conditions, including scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms, particularly in the early part of the season. While rainfall begins to decrease as winter approaches, brief downpours and cloudy conditions remain common.
