2026 WNBA Draft: Connecticut Sun acquire TCU G Taylor Bigby, the No. 37 overall pick, from Portland Fire

Capping off an outstanding evening for the TCU women’s basketball program, redshirt senior guard Taylor Bigby was selected by the Portland Fire with the No. 37 overall pick during the third round of the 2026 WNBA Draft. Bigby, who was then traded to the Connecticut Sun in a deal involving Serah Williams, averaged a career-high 8.2 points per game and shot a career-best 38.9% from 3-point range during her final year with the Horned Frogs. Bigby played in all 38 games and helped lead TCU to a 32-6 record and a second consecutive Elite Eight trip.

Bigby spent two years with the Horned Frogs and played in 76 games over her time at TCU. The 6-foot-1 guard started her career at Oregon, where she played one season before transferring to USC. Bigby, who appeared in 65 games and made 18 starts with the Trojans, played in a total of 150 games over her six-year collegiate career. She shot a career-high 44.1% from the floor during the 2025-26 season, helping the Horned Frogs win a Big 12 title.
