The 49ers will have some tough choices to make as they have a variety of needs, including an edge rusher, an offensive lineman, or even a wide receiver to bolster that room. San Francisco will likely go the 'best player available' route; however, nothing is set in stone.

ESPN's Matt Miller and Jeremy Fowler completed a mock draft prior to the first round and predicted that the 49ers would go an unconventional route and select Toledo safety  Emmanuel McNeil- Warren.

Miller noted that seeing the impact that safety Nick Emmanwori had for the Seattle Seahawks could force the 49ers to draft McNeil- Warren.

" Sources around the league considered San Francisco a potential edge rusher team in Round 1 considering its league-worst 20 sacks, but the edge board has been wiped out. So after seeing the impact Nick Emmanwori had for division-rival Seattle, the 49ers would get their own version in McNeil- Warren, who could come off the board in the teens."

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren Viewed as Fit for 49ers Secondary

The safety position is not at the top of the list for the 49ers; however, they could certainly bolster the secondary by selecting McNeil- Warren.

McNeil- Warren is considered a perfect fit for the Niners due to their need for playmaking in the secondary. The Florida native is known for his "ball-hawking" abilities, who has elite physicality. He acts as a "tone-setting in the box and a roamer in the back end.

According to NFL Draft Buzz, McNeil- Warren is the 40th overall prospect in this year's draft and ranked as the ninth in this year's position ranking.
