Reece James’ hamstring injury picked up in the game against Newcastle on Match 17th was a real blow – the Blues haven’t earned a single league point or scored a single league goal or kept a single league clean sheet since.
Initially, the prognosis from then manager Liam Rosenior was that James would be back after the March international break. However, a few weeks have passed since then, and he’s still not even appeared on the bench.
Reece James still has time to build up for Forest game
The good news is that we still have until Monday night for our clash against Nottingham Forest. We’d expect James to be back training this week, and that should give him time to build up enough for a sub appearance at the very least against the Tricky Trees.
That would give the team a massive boost at an important moment.
Our last pressers haven’t seen any updates on the club captain – we’re sure Calum McFarlane will have an update for us in his upcoming chat with the media this weekend.

Wayne Rooney noted something about the attitude of Chelsea players in the win over Brighton at the weekend.
Andoni Iraola is already in contact with Chelsea about potentially taking a job here – but it will be a long road.
