The Minnesota Twins are once again one of the worst teams in baseball this season, and should likely be sellers at the trade deadline.

After a fire sale last season, this year might be another similar sell-off for Minnesota. They're not going to contend right away, and it would make sense to recoup some value for a few of their veterans.
MLB.com's Mark Feinsand shared that of 20 polled MLB executives, three predicted that the Twins would finally wind up trading Joe Ryan, their All-Star ace, at the deadline.
Twins predicted to finally trade Joe Ryan
"It seemed like [Ryan] was someone that they were considering trading last year," one AL executive told Feinsand. "They're looking like they'll be in a similar spot this year."
The Twins trading Ryan would make a lot of sense. He's a free agent after the 2027 MLB season, and the Twins won't be able to get a better return for him than they will at this year's deadline.
Similar to how they got a strong return in the Jhoan Duran trade with the Philadelphia Phillies, trading a starter like Ryan is sure to draw a hefty price tag.

This season, Ryan has a decent 3.76 ERA through seven starts. While he's not been as good as he was last year, his 118 ERA+ is still more than good enough for a contender to swing a deal.
Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara received the most votes (4) of any player whom MLB executives predicted could be on the move this year. Ryan (3 votes) was right behind him and is a very likely trade candidate.
After being involved in trade rumors last year and during the offseason, these three MLB executives out of the 20 polled by Feinsand are predicting the Twins to finally trade Ryan by this year's trade deadline.
