Tennessee's tennis season came to an end in the NCAA Tournament second round on May 2 in the Durham Regional, hosted by Duke.

No. 15 seed Duke (19-7, 10-2 ACC) defeated the Lady Vols (14-10, 8-7 SEC), 4-1, at Ambler Tennis Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.

"I thought we came out in doubles with some good energy," Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth said. "I thought our No. 1 team, even though they got down quick, just a point here and there. We threw Ava (Krug) in there, in the doubles, and she hadn't been a part of that in a while, and she played unbelievably well. Held her serve there to start.

"They got a little bit of momentum and confidence, and Liv (Hovde) played a really good doubles match as well. Our two, they just make people play, they grinded it out and did a really good job. I thought we were able to carry that momentum into singles."

Tennessee opened the Durham Regional with a, 4-2, win against Old Dominion in the first round.

Duke advances to face No. 2 seed Auburn.
