After another exciting week of the high school softball season, it's time to look back on the best performances.

Carly Amorosi, Vernon
The senior outfielder hit home runs in consecutive games and led to wins over Montclair and Sparta. Amorosi went 3-for-7 for the week with home runs in both games, including a 5-2 win over Sparta on May 2 in the second round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament. Amorosi has homered in three straight games after entering the season with two career home runs.
Breanna Colburn, Randolph
The senior pitcher tossed a one-hit shutout in a 7-0 win over Madison on April 28 in the second round of the Morris County tournament. Colburn struck out a season-high 14 batters in the gem, allowing one hit and walking one batter across seven stellar innings.
Julia Fox, Morris Knolls
The senior infielder went 9-for-14 at the plate with eight RBIs and four runs scored, extending the win streak for the Golden Eagles to six in a row. Fox stole two bases and hit a pair of home runs, one in each of her games against Whippany Park. Fox's home run on May 2 against Whippany Park in the Morris County quarterfinals gave the Stony Brook commit 20 home runs in her high school softball career.
Erin Murphy, Morristown
The sophomore pitcher allowed no earned runs while striking out 13 in a 3-2 win over Roxbury on April 28 in the second round of the Morris County tournament. Murphy also provided the offense, going 3-for-3 with two home runs and a double.
Ashley Neretich, Montville
The junior infielder went 5-for-11 at the plate with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored for the Mustangs. Neretich struck her second home run of the season on April 28 in a 16-6 win over Pequannock in the second round of the Morris County tournament. Neretich went 3-for-5 on the day with a double in addition to the home run, scoring twice and driving in three.
Cassie Pallay, Wallkill Valley
The junior third baseman went 8-for-13 at the plate during the week, including a win in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament. Pallay helped the Rangers to an 11-1 win over Kittatinny on April 29 in the tournament's first round, the first tournament win for Wallkill Valley in five years. Pallay also homered among her eight RBIs and six runs scored for the week.
Sofia Reisinger, Morris Catholic
The senior pitcher allowed one earned run on five hits across 12 innings, striking out 20 and inserting the Crusaders back into the Morris County tournament semifinals. Reisinger struck out 10 in a three-hit shutout over Butler in the second round on April 27, a 5-0 victory. Reisinger came back with another 10 strikeouts, allowing a run on two hits in an 11-1 win over Morristown in the quarterfinals on May 2.
Sydney Ribnicky, Roxbury
The senior pitcher tossed 30 innings across five games for the week and dominated throughout. Ribnicky struck out a combined 55 batters, allowing six earned runs and walking only four batters across wins over Sparta, Montville and Paramus Catholic.
Ava Shikhman, Pequannock
The senior catcher went 7-for-17 at bat, scoring five runs while the Golden Panthers earned wins over Lenape Valley and Parsippany. Shikhman had four hits including a double in a 9-4 win over Lenape Valley on April 27.
Alexandra Sweetman, Sussex Tech
The senior pitcher went 6-for-8 at the plate with five RBIs and three runs scored, including a pair of runs scored in a 10-0 win over Somerset Tech on April 28. Sweetman stole seven bases and has more stolen bases in her career (121) than hits (120).
Kate Zoccolillo, Mount Olive
The sophomore outfielder had six hits for the week, including three in an upset over Jefferson in the Morris County tournament on April 28. Zoccolillo drove in six runs and scored six runs herself in wins over Jefferson and Gill St. Bernard's. Zoccolillo struck her first varsity home run in a 6-5 loss to Randolph in the Morris County quarterfinals on May 2.
