In 2025, he jumped into the California League and moved up to High-A after only 13 games. He would end his season in Double-A, helping Midland during their playoff run.
This year, that is where he opened up the year, where he is still pitching now. And he is quickly becoming a prospect that fans will want to keep a close eye on.

There were some concerns about Lin's game late last season. He saw a drop in his fastball velocity, but since the season started this year, he is back in that 95 mph range and has even touched 96 mph this year.
With the uptick in velocity, he is a formidable arm in the Texas League, and the crew over at MLB.com tags him as the A's hottest pitching prospect.
"While the 20-year-old left-hander isn't a pure stuff guy, he seems to be really building a head of steam as his season with Double-A Midland unfolds. He's gone at least five innings in his last four starts, allowing just three earned runs over 23 IP in those outings. For the season, he's second in the Texas League in ERA and BAA, while standing third in strikeouts and WHIP."
The lefty is working as one of the best in Double-A, and he's still developing and growing. He has a good command of all of his pitches, and it's just about tinkering with a few of them to be at his best.
If fans aren't already familiar with Lin, they ought to be, because he could be a front-end starter for the A's here soon.
