Door opens for Liverpool to agree massive Michael Olise deal

One of Liverpool’s most iconic players, Mohamed Salah, is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
The Egyptian King announced his decision in March and it is now a matter of weeks until he will officially exit Anfield.

The 33-year-old has spent several weeks out injured, but supporters are hopeful he will be fit enough to make a cameo in one of the club’s final two Premier League matches.
Replacing Salah will not be an easy task, but rumours linking Liverpool with a move for Michael Olise have fans excited.
A deal to bring the Frenchman to Anfield would likely be complicated but not impossible.
Liverpool should try for Michael Olise this summer
Links between Liverpool and Olise date back to before Salah’s exit had been confirmed, but the fee it would take to prise the 24-year-old away from Munich is believed to be astronomical.
A window of opportunity could be opening for Richard Hughes and Liverpool’s recruitment team however, as reports suggest Anthony Gordon is edging closer to a move to the German champions.
A report from talkSPORT has suggested that the Englishman has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich, but that the club is yet to reach an agreement with Newcastle over a fee for Gordon.
A valuation of around £75 million, first reported by The Times, is still believed to be in place and this could be excellent news for Liverpool.
Bayern have a very established front three of Olise, Harry Kane and former Red Luis Diaz.
Spending £75m on Gordon for him to play second fiddle doesn’t seem like smart business, and it also isn’t something the Englishman is likely to accept.
If Bayern do meet Newcastle’s price tag, the German giants may need to sell a big-name player in order to recoup funds and make a space for Gordon in the team.

If Gordon does make the move to Munich, the Reds should try with all their might to bring Olise to Merseyside as Salah’s replacement.
The finances involved will be monstrous, but Olise’s 55 goal involvements in 50 appearances this season would make him well worth it.
30 of those goal involvements have been assists, and the winger could be the key to unlocking Alexander Isak’s full potential in Red.
