According to the lawyer, when he reached the courtroom and objected, he was allegedly pushed, after which Samarth Singh ran away from the room and moved towards the Bar Association chamber.

Srivastava also alleged that no police personnel were present at the spot despite Samarth Singh being accused in a serious dowry death case. He appealed to the police to immediately arrest him and take strict action.

The development came after Samarth Singh reached the Jabalpur District Court nearly 10 days after the case was registered. His lawyers had informed the court that he wanted to surrender, but reports said the court asked him to surrender before the concerned court in Bhopal or before the investigating officer.

Later, police took Samarth Singh into custody from the court premises.

The case is related to the death of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma, who was found hanging at her husband’s house in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area on May 12.

Twisha’s family has accused her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh of dowry harassment and mental torture.
