The move adds much-needed depth to the defensive line after Roy-Robertson Harris suffered a torn Achilles during organized team activities (OTAs).
Tupou, 32, brings 10 years of NFL experience, primarily with the Cincinnati Bengals (2017-2023). The 6-foot-3, 350-pound Tongan-American defensive tackle from Colorado has recorded 94 career tackles and 3.0 sacks.
Known for his stout run defense and ability to clog the middle, Tupou spent time with the Baltimore Ravens in 2024 and 2025 and had a brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts. He reunites with Giants head coach John Harbaugh, with whom he has prior familiarity from his time in Baltimore.
Undrafted in 2017, Tupou has been a reliable rotational player and special teams contributor. His signing bolsters the Giants’ interior defense as they prepare for the 2026 season.
Tupou is expected to compete for snaps alongside the team’s current defensive tackles.
