Usman Nurmagomedov is confident Conor McGregor won't make the walk at UFC 329.

McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) is set to return from a five-year layoff against Max Holloway (27-9 MMA, 23-9 UFC) in the July 11 main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Paramount+).

McGregor was scheduled to come back against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024 but withdrew due to a broken pinky toe. It took more than two years for his next fight to get booked, but Nurmagomedov believes it won't even happen.

"I don't think he's going to fight," Nurmagomedov told MMA Junkie of McGregor. "I think he's going to pull out, or something happens, or in this world a war is going to begin, but he's not going to fight."

If McGregor does compete in July, Nurmagomedov doesn't give him much of a chance to beat Holloway.

"If he's going to fight with Holloway, of course all MMA fans are going to watch this fight," Nurmagomedov said. "In my opinion, Holloway is going to win because he was active. When you don't fight for like almost five years – five years, he's now 37."
