In a press release, Bandai Namco said Gundam Rogue Orbit "introduces a brand-new timeline in the Gundam saga, where humanity must fight for survival against an unknown threat." "In Gundam Rogue Orbit, players will suit up as ace pilot RE-X, the protagonist in this new chapter for Gundam," an official description for its story said. "Gundam Rogue Orbit will feature explosive fast-paced battles set in sprawling environments, with players taking on enemy hordes, massive bosses, and seemingly insurmountable challenges, set against an engaging Sci-Fi backdrop. For Gundam fans, the title promises to deliver the emotionally charged moments and unforgettable action that have made the series one of the world’s most beloved entertainment franchises while also introducing a thrilling new direction for Gundam."
In a separate post, Bandai Namco confirmed that Gundam Rogue Orbit is expected to release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S sometime next year.
