Detroit Tigers rain delay updates vs Twins: When will game restart?

The Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins entered a rain delay due to inclement weather after the top of the first inning during Wednesday's middle game of a three-game series at Comerica Park in Detroit.
Sheets of rain came down just before the bottom of the first was set to begin around 6:55 p.m.

It's a bad break for the Tigers, since left-handed starting pitcher Framber Valdez threw 11 pitches in the first inning. Whether he will be able to return after the delay is unknown.
Twins right-hander Mike Paredes was set to make his first career MLB start.
Update at 7:38 p.m.: The rain has lightened and the Comerica Park grounds crew is on the field. The tarp remains in place.
The Tigers won Tuesday night's game after a near two-hour rain delay before the game. Both teams hit four home runs in the Tigers' 10-4 win.
