Buthe pairs a Big Ten-ready frame with high-level wrestling credentials, underscoring his leverage, balance, and toughness in the trenches. He is a hard-nosed and disciplined offensive lineman who plays with composure and solid mobility for his size. Buthe has exceptional flexibility and movement skills for a bigger body, along with a solid technical and mental base built from playing both sides of the ball. Like most high school linemen, his main developmental need is adding good mass to reach a 300-plus-pound playing weight while refining his technique for competition at the next level, particularly hand usage and consistency in pass protection.
