Thompson, the blazing-fast deep threat out of Mississippi State, made the top play of the day on offense. He initially hauled in a tough, contested catch downfield over safety Elijah Molden before showcasing his elite 4.26 speed on a massive 50-yard explosive gain behind the defense. Unfortunately, he briefly exited practice early with a trainer.

On the other side of the ball, Smith proved exactly why his natural centerfield instincts were coveted. The ball-hawking safety out of Arizona flashed his coverage skills and range by jumping a route to intercept quarterback Trey Lance's pass along the left sideline. Smith's playmaking ability immediately heats up the roster battle as he challenges for immediate playing time.
