James Coleman, B.J. Daniels, Amari Gainer, and Pat Watkins will host the second annual Tallahassee Legends Youth Football Camp in town at Lincoln High School on Saturday, June 20. It starts at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 1 p.m.
The camp is free and open to children ages 6-16.
“Join Amari Gainer, Pat Watkins, B.J. Daniels, and James Coleman for a high-energy, competitive camp where young athletes will sharpen their skills, level up their confidence, and learn from hometown legends who’ve competed at the highest level,” read the camp’s website.
“Whether you’re lacing up for your first season or ready to dominate on Friday nights, this camp is designed to push you, teach you, and inspire you to become a legend.”
Coleman attended Florida High School before playing collegiately at Florida State University from 2002 to 2005 under legendary head football coach Bobby Bowden. He was a reliable short-yardage fullback and scored 10 touchdowns before a brief stint in the National Football League with the New Orleans Saints.

Daniels, the lone non-FSU alum, played at Lincoln before becoming a record-breaking quarterback at the University of South Florida. Daniels was a seventh-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers and was a member of the Seattle Seahawks 2014 Super Bowl 48 team that thumped the Denver Broncos 43-8.
Gainer is a Lawton-Chiles High School graduate who played for FSU before transferring to the University of North Carolina for his final year of college football. The linebacker went undrafted in 2024 but was picked up by the Las Vegas Raiders. He then joined the New England Patriots in 2025 during their run to a Super Bowl appearance and runner-up finish.
And finally, Watkins attended Lincoln High School before playing for FSU from 2002 to 2005. The 6-foot-5 safety was a fifth-rounder in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. After the NFL, Watkins went on to play in the Canadian Football League, where he had a multi-time all-star career and won two Grey Cups.
Parents can register their children for the camp via the Tallahassee Legends Youth Football Camp website.
Spots are limited. Pre-registration is required; walk-ups will not be accepted.
The camp promises skill development, speed and position drills, prizes, t-shirts, and post-camp meals from Jersey Mikes and Slim Chickens.
