The team has signed four players to the 90-man roster since minicamp ended, including three former UFL standouts and one former New Orleans Saints punter. We also recently looked at some potential free-agent targets for Atlanta before camp begins.

In today's Falcons Wire recap, we catch on the latest roster moves, watch some minicamp highlights, examine free-agent targets, and look at the team's training camp schedule.

Falcons wrap up mandatory minicamp

The Falcons have concluded their first minicamp under head coach Kevin Stefanski, and by most accounts, it was a success. The quarterbacks continued to work on footwork and the players generally focused on fundamentals while they get familiar with the playbook. Michael Penix Jr. was not cleared for 11-on-11 drills, but he still did 7-on-7. Edge rusher James Pearce Jr. returned to the team and participated in individual drills.

Falcons sign 4 players to roster

The Falcons signed wide receiver Antwane Wells Jr., defensive lineman Devonnsha Maxwell, edge rusher Keshawn Banks and punter Matthew Hayball. In corresponding moves, the team released wide receiver Casey Washington, defensive lineman Elijah Garcia and UDFA defensive end CJ Nunnally IV. Washington is a former sixth-round pick who recorded seven catches for 108 receiving yards over 15 career games in Atlanta.

Falcons free agent targets

The Falcons have a few needs as they wait for training camp to begin in late-July. We've been examining potential free-agent targets for Atlanta, from edge rushers to wide receivers. Could Joey Bosa be an option if Pearce receives a suspension?

At the top of the list is five-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa, who may be nearing the end of his NFL journey but can still make an impact. Last season, with the Buffalo Bills Bosa put up five sacks, 15 quarterback hits and nine tackles for a loss. The Falcons should be looking for edge-rushing help in the event that James Pearce Jr. gets suspended by the NFL - Tim Weaver, Falcons Wire

At the wide receiver position, could the Falcons target former Chargers Pro Bowler Keenan Allen?

Allen is a six-time Pro Bowler with over 12,000 career receiving yards. While bigger wide receivers tend to age poorly in the NFL, Allen has been an exception thus far. The 34-year-old has finished with over 700 receiving yards in nine consecutive seasons. The Falcons could use a little more size behind London, and Allen would perfectly complement the team's speedier weapons, including Dotson and Branch. - Matt Urben, Falcons Wire
