The Texas Longhorns had an eventful weekend hosting official visits. One of the key recruits on campus was 2027 four-star cornerback Brandon Sherrard, a standout at Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas.

He has now wrapped up his official visit schedule, and he's set the date for his commitment on July 1. Texas knocked his visit out of the park, and according to Steve Wiltfong of On3, they've put themselves in great position to possibly land the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder.
Texas has put itself right in the mix for four-star cornerback Brandon Sherrard. The visit was significant so we’ll see where that puts the Longhorns alongside LSU and Oklahoma. They’re rising.
The Longhorns landed five-star cornerback John Meredith III last week, who is the nation's No. 2 overall prospect. However, he is the only cornerback that Texas has for the cycle, which makes Sherrard a key player to try and bring on board.
From now until his commitment date, the Longhorns need to make Sherrard feel like their priority in order to land hia commitment, especially with strong contenders like LSU and Oklahoma lurking.
Sherrard is the No. 158 recruit in the country and the No. 21 cornerback according to Rivals industry rankings. He's also listed as the No. 20 prospect in the state of Texas.
