Erling Haaland has made his pick for the World Cup winner.

And it isn't Norway.

After a 3-2 victory over Senegal that clinched a spot in the knockout rounds, the Machester City striker was asked about Norway's last group-stage game, against France, and he gave a hilariously honest assessment.

"Honestly I don’t care too much. We’re through. We managed to get through, which is incredible. So, I couldn’t care too much about that game," Haaland said in an interview with Fox.

"They’re probably going to win against us," he added. "They’re probably going to win the whole tournament."

Haaland's prediction is hardly a stretch. Les Bleus, who won the World Cup title in 2018 and made the final four years ago, have looked fearsome in their first two games, scoring three goals in each match. Kylian Mbappé already has four goals, tying him with Haaland for second place in the Golden Boot race. Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola also have goals for France.

But it's rare for a player to be as blunt as Haaland was.

Haaland and Norway are playing with house money, however. This is their first appearance at the men's World Cup since 1998, and the team is making the most of it. They even did their rendition of the "Viking Row" their fans have been doing wherever Norway plays.

The team took a seat at the edge of the 18-yard box, and someone got the drum that fans have used to count out the row. They then proceeded to "row," delighting Norway fans everywhere.

"We’ve all seen it online. It’s been going completely viral," Haaland said. "(Captain) Martin (Odegaard) told me before the game, `What do you think? Should we join in? If we win let’s do it.' So why not? Let’s go for it.

"So, it was a perfect moment I think to do that, and it’s special."
