Blue-chip defensive lineman commits to FSU

Four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune has committed to the FSU Seminoles, announcing the news Wednesday on Noles247 Kolby Crawford's YouTube channel. He was one of FSU's top targets in the 2027 recruiting cycle and someone they have been prioritizing for years.

LeJeune, who is from Poplarville, Mississippi, picked FSU over the Washington Huskies and California Golden Bears. FSU has been recruiting him since 2024, when they extended him a scholarship offer in September after hosting him on two visits. They were the first school to extend him an offer, and they never let up.

He returned to Tallahassee three times in 2025 and in 2026, including for an official visit on June 12. It was his final official visit before he committed and allowed the Seminoles to take control of his recruitment for good.

He is ranked as the No. 119 overall player and No. 11 defensive lineman in the 147Sports composite. He is also the No. 5 player from Mississippi. He is the highest-ranked defensive lineman to commit to FSU since they signed Kevin Wynn in the 2025 cycle.

LeJeune is now FSU's highest-ranked commit, beating out four-star linebacker Jernard Albright, who is the No. 172 player. His addition gives the Seminoles 13 commits overall and four along the defensive line, joining four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro, three-star defensive lineman Eric Vaulx Jr., and three-star edge Jaxon Holly.

The class is ranked as the 49th-best in the country and the 13th-best in the ACC by 247Sports. The defensive front seven is the strength of the group, with seven of their commits set to play along either the defensive line or at linebacker.
