Bayern Munich attacker Jamal Musiala is having himself a ball at the Men’s World Cup.

It has been a long road back from last summer’s grisly injury for Bayern’s star boy, and he is only just getting into his groove. He already has a World Cup goal to show for it, though, and has been in the thick of the action in two starts at the No. 10 position for Germany — where he frequently links up with Liverpool ace Florian Wirtz and Arsenal forward Kai Havertz in Julian Nagelsmann’s fluid, flood-the-box attack.

Musiala and Wirtz, both 23, are together the face of the rising German generation and continue a national team partnership forged and showcased two years ago at EURO 2024.

“It’s really enjoyable. I think he’s great,” Musiala said of Wirtz in comments captured by Sport Bild (via @iMiaSanMia). “Flo and I work very well together. The same applies to Kai Havertz, Leroy Sané, Felix Nmecha and [Aleksandar Pavlović].

“The whole team is simply great. Everyone has a special quality. You can tell that. But it’s true that Flo and I complement each other very well on the pitch. We can put opponents under pressure. This freedom on the pitch is a lot of fun.”
