FSU players rack up preseason All-ACC honors

It's the time of year when preseason All-Conference honors get handed out. Florida State wide receiver Duce Robinson had already landed on multiple lists, including first-team All-ACC by Athlon Sports. Now, several of his teammates have joined the party.
He's the only player to get first-team honors, but a half-dozen were recognized on the lower tiers by Athlon. Three defensive players earned second-team All-ACC honors in lineman Mandrell Desir, linebacker Chris Jones, and cornerback Ja'Bril Rawls. Sophomores running back Ousmane Kromah and wide receiver Micahi Danzy plus senior defensive lineman Daniel Lyons were named to the fourth team.

Desir showed quickly that he was much better than his three-star rating coming out of high school as he registered 6.5 sacks, which led all freshmen in the ACC and was third nationally among freshmen. Jones played at Southern Miss in 2025, and he led the Sun Belt in tackles with 134 to go along with 9.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Rawls performed very well in his first year as a starter with 40 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.
Kromah averaged 5.7 per carry and totaled 408 rushing yards as a freshman and 147 receiving yards on nine receptions, with one being for a touchdown. Danzy was fourth in the nation and tops in the ACC with 21.1 yards per catch as a redshirt freshman. He finished with 27 catches for 571 yards and three touchdowns, and he also gained 216 yards on 12 carries and scored three more times as a runner. Lyons had a career-high 26 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one forced fumble as a junior last season.
All these players will play vital roles in FSU's quest to get back to a bowl and compete for an ACC crown.
