TEBOHO MOKOENA DROPS F-BOMB DURING POST-MATCH INTERVIEW

In the wake of Bafana Bafana’s heartbreaking elimination, a clip of player Teboho Mokoena dropping an F-bomb in a live TV interview had South Africans amused.

The player, who scored a goal against South Korea in last week’s group-stage match, was asked about South Africa’s loss to Canada.

Appearing forlorn, “Tebza” said: “It was very tough, eish! The way we conceded that goal. And even me, I felt f**k”.

Realising he had sworn, Mokoena quickly covered his mouth before adding “Tjo!”.

In the comments section of the clip reposted on social media, South Africans reacted to the live blunder.

“One last meme before coming home”, commented one. Another added: “At least our players are funny”.

A third added: “We didn’t win the World Cup, but we definitely won funniest country. A win is a win”.

SERVING MEMES

Teboho Mokoena’s slip-up is the first meme of the FIFA World Cup from the Bafana Bafana team.

During South Africa’s second group stage match against Czechia, Mokoena went viral over his reaction to a female referee’s comments to an opponent.
