UTEP's new Paydirt Pete has arrived, bringing a modern look inspired by the mascot's popular 1980s-era design.
Now we want to hear from Miners fans: Which version of Pete do you prefer, the newly unveiled logo or the classic '80s version that inspired it? UTEP says the redesign was meant to give Pete a fresh look while honoring a logo many fans remember fondly.

The reveal comes as UTEP officially begins its move into the Mountain West Conference, giving the university a new visual identity to accompany a new chapter in athletics. Merchandise featuring the updated Pete is already rolling out, with a new mascot costume expected to debut during the football season.
