Xander Johnson went 4-for-4 with five RBI as the Green Wave topped visiting Hillcrest in an American Legion game Monday, June 29, at Oneonta’s Joe Hughes Field.

Johnson had a double and a triple and also got the win, striking out nine in 4.2 innings.
Nate Woytach had a home run among with three hits and three runs scored.
Brady Carr had two hits and three RBI for the Wave, which also got two hits from Britten Zeh.
Zeh also got the save, giving up just one hit in 2.1 innings while striking out three.
Johnson is 3-0 in summer league.
Oneonta 12, South Otselic 2
Brady Carr threw a two-hitter as the Green Wave beat South Otselic in six innings in an American Legion game at OHS on Tuesday, June 30.
Carr struck out six in 5.1 innings, while giving up two unearned runs.
Xander Johnson had a triple and a home run, with five RBI.
Britten Zeh had a double and an RBI for the Green Wave, which also got two hits and an RBI from Brody Matthews.
Johnson’s two-out, three-run homer to centerfield in the fourth inning helped break open the game for Oneonta (5-1).
