Jaguars offensive line unit receives unfavorable ranking for 2026 season

Ahead of the 2026 NFL season, one analyst believes that the Jacksonville Jaguars have one of the worst offensive line units in the league.
Jacob Camenker of USA Today recently ranked all 32 offensive line units, and coming in at No. 28 were the Jaguars.

Camenker acknowledges that the Jaguars' offensive line unit is "solid" but is still lacking overall.
"The Jaguars are another team with a solid group along the offensive line but they lack a standout," Camenker wrote.
This ranking does seem to be way to low, however.
The Jaguars had no turnover at this position during the offseason. Their starting five from last year is still on the roster, while they added Emmanuel Pregnon in the draft. Wyatt Milum and Jonah Monheim will be entering Year 2, and Walker Little provides experienced depth.
This should be a good group, and the continuity of being in Liam Coen's offense for a second season can be the catalyst behind a Year 2 jump.
That said, there is still certainly room for improvement, particularly in the run game.
Despite the overall success that the Jaguars' offense had during the second half of last season, the run game was quite inconsistent. Overall on the year, the Jaguars ranked 27th in yards per rush. From Week 10 on, there were five games where Etienne failed to rush for over 60 yards.
A strong run game that can keep the offense in manageable down and distance situations, paired with Trevor Lawrence's high level of play, is what can take this unit to another level.
In pass protection, this unit was much better, ranking ninth in ESPN's pass block win rate metric.
How well this unit performs will go a long way in dictating how good the Jaguars' offense is in 2026. Consistency for any offense begins with having a run game to lean on and time in the pocket for the quarterback.
