ESPN: 'Growing belief' that LeBron going to Cavs is 'scenario to beat'
· Yahoo Sports
For the last few weeks, the chances of LeBron James going to the Golden State Warriors have been seemingly increasing. The Warriors, from all outward appearances, have been sincerely pursuing James, to the point where it was recently reported that they wanted to trade for Anthony Davis, James' former Los Angeles Lakers teammate, in order to lure the 41-year-old.

Once James informed the Lakers he was leaving them, the Warriors became the favorites to land him. But according to "The Stein Line," the feeling around the NBA is that the future Hall of Famer returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers is the "scenario to beat," via ESPN Cleveland.
"There is a 'growing belief' from teams competing to sign LeBron James that him returning to the Cavs is the “scenario to beat,” per @TheSteinLine."

James, of course, spent his first seven seasons with the Cavaliers, and after departing for four years with the Miami Heat, he returned to Cleveland and delivered its first-ever NBA championship in 2016.
Right now, the other main contenders for James' services are thought to be the Philadelphia 76ers, with the Heat as a possible dark horse. Rich Paul, James' longtime friend and agent, said on a recent episode of his "Game Over" podcast that there are as many as 10 teams that James could join this summer in free agency, per ESPN.
In particular, Paul identified the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves as additional possibilities.
All the teams that are hoping to land the NBA's all-time leading career scorer may have to wait a while to find out whether he will play for them. Paul told Mark Medina of Forbes magazine that a decision may not come very soon.
“I don’t think it’ll be the next few days," Paul said.
James averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists a game with the Lakers this past season. It is all but assured that he will play a 24th season in the NBA this fall and won't be retiring just yet.
