There have been more errors than ever, a series of mistakes from the defense that have made outings longer for pitchers, along with some disappointing pitching performances as well.

Following the D-Backs series, the last before the All-Star break, manager Dave Roberts was brutally honest about how the team plays.
“I think at the end of the day, they outplayed us. They wanted it more. I mean, that’s just the truth. Every game matters. And we didn’t play well the last five or six days. And you’re facing a team that’s fighting for their lives,” Roberts said.

“I think just flush it. We’re still in a really good spot. Don’t let it carry over to the second half and then kind of reset.”
In 2026, the Dodgers have been so good at not letting a losing streak linger and moving on from a bad run of a few games. As long as they get some good rest and refocus, things should be fine.
They will need to be for a run of games right after the break, involving the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, and New York Mets.
