The memorial service details for late Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams have been officially confirmed.

The service will be held on Thursday, 16 July, at the Stellenbosch Town Hall. Family, friends, teammates and supporters will gather to pay their final respects to one of South African football’s brightest talents.
JAYDEN ADAMS: MEMORIAL SERVICE DETAILS
Adams passed away on 11 July 2026 at the age of 25, sending shockwaves through the football community. Two separate memorial services have been arranged to accommodate both invited guests and members of the public.
The first service will take place from 09:00 to 12:00. It will be a private gathering and attendance is strictly by invitation.
A second service will begin at 17:00, with members of the public invited to attend and honour Adams’ life.
GONE TOO SOON
Jayden Adams had just experienced the biggest moment of his career after representing South Africa at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Before joining Mamelodi Sundowns in January 2025, Adams made history as the first academy graduate to sign a professional contract with Stellenbosch FC.
The midfielder made 139 appearances for the Cape Winelands outfit. He also helped the club lift the 2023 Carling Knockout Cup before earning his move to Sundowns.
He went on to win the Betway Premiership and the CAF Champions League during the 2025/26 season, cementing his place among South Africa’s top midfielders.
