UCF Has One of the Best 2026 Friday College Football Games
· Yahoo Sports
The UCF Knights have three weeknight college football games next season, and their Week 9 matchup against the Baylor Bears is the best game played that Friday.
These two programs will meet for the fourth time since UCF joined the Big 12. Both teams have different rosters from last season, which should make for an interesting game.

Baylor has lost most of its offensive production to the NFL. Sawyer Robertson went undrafted and was invited to the Denver Broncos minicamp; Josh Cameron was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars; Michael Trigg was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an UDFA, and Kole Wilson signed with the Cleveland Browns as an UDFA.
UCF overhauled its roster through the transfer portal, adding much-needed depth at multiple positions. The program landed Alonza Barnett III as its starting quarterback, added Josh Derry and Jonathan Bibbs to the receiving corps and formed a formidable running back duo with Landen Chambers and Duke Watson.
The Knights will aim to even the all-time series, as Baylor has bragging rights after a dominant victory last season. Robertson dissected a top-rated pass defense in the conference en route to a 30-3 blowout.
Baylor's lead signal-caller did most of his damage in the first quarter, throwing two touchdown passes and nearly 200 yards. Trigg, Cameron and Wilson all caught a touchdown from Robertson.
UCF's offense struggled to get in scoring position as the team could not extend drives. Tayven Jackson threw two interceptions in the second half, and Baylor held Myles Montgomery to 74 rushing yards.
It was the second-largest point differential in a loss for coach Scott Frost. The largest point differential in a loss was 39 points against the No. 6-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders.
The Knights have another Friday game next season against the Arizona State Sun Devils. It will be the third matchup between UCF and Arizona State, as the two programs did not meet last season.
UCF's season-opener against Bethune-Cookman is the other weeknight game. The program continues its trend to start the season on Thursdays.
Week 9's Friday matchup will start at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
