3 Jets players with everything to gain at training camp
· Yahoo Sports
The New York Jets will officially begin training camp with a veterans reporting date of July 28. Darren Mougey's rookie class reports to Florham Park a few days earlier on July 25, giving them a chance to acclimate to their first professional camp. With so much riding on the upcoming campaign, head coach Aaron Glenn is expected to promote competition as the Jets continue rebuilding their roster.

With so much on the line, we've identified three Jets players with everything to gain at training camp.
T'Vondre Sweat, NT
The Jets traded defensive end Jermaine Johnson II to the Tennessee Titans earlier this offseason for nose tackle T'Vondre Sweat. The Titans were allegedly fed up with Sweat's approach. He'll be motivated to prove them wrong, and he also becomes eligible for a contract extension next offseason, adding additional stakes to his 2026 performance.
Nahshon Wright, CB
The Jets signed cornerback Nahshon Wright in free agency to boost their coverage unit outside. Wright will enter camp trying to compete for reps on the boundary with Brandon Stephens and Azareye'h Thomas. Jarvis Brownlee and rookie D'Angelo Ponds could also factor into the competition.
Isaiah Williams, WR
Isaiah Williams was a feel-good story for the Jets in 2025, registering 26 receptions for 193 yards. The former Illinois standout also returned 28 punts for 396 yards and two touchdowns. The Jets' depth chart at receiver is more crowded after drafting Omar Cooper Jr., but Williams' abilities on special teams increases his chances of making the 53-man roster.
