Player development contracts allow organizations to activate a player for 12 total games during a season. The roster spots allow players to practice and provide additional depth to a team.
Morgan was selected 32nd overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky before being waived on May 3. She scored 11 points and had seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in two preseason games.
Morgan led the NCAA with 286 total assists and ranked second nationally with 7.9 assists per game during the 2025-26 season. She set a new Kentucky single-season program record for assists while helping guide her team to a Sweet 16 appearance.
Morgan also averaged 13.8 points, 7.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 46.7% from the field in her lone season with the Wildcats.
