James Harden sent a message to LeBron James amid the Cleveland Cavaliers' pursuit of the star forward.
When asked what he thought James was going to do in free agency, Harden stressed the fact that he'd love it if James decided to continue his career in Cleveland, again.
“I hope he comes to Cleveland. It’s a perfect storybook finish, he’s at home for maybe his last year,” Harden said. “But, he’s going to decide. He’s smart enough. I don’t think anybody’s pitch is going to move him."
Harden thinks that wherever James lands, he'll make his new team a whole lot better.
"Wherever he decides, obviously the team is going to be a lot better," Harden added.
Harden technically isn't even a member of the Cavaliers currently, as he's an unrestricted free agent. However, he's widely expected to re-sign with the Cavs. In fact, Harden’s contract could actually be tied to James' decision. Harden is reportedly waiting to sign a new deal in order to give the Cleveland some additional financial flexibility to work with in free agency.
