Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly sent a verbal bid to Chelsea for Portuguese winger Pedro Neto. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club want to strengthen in attack and have been keeping tabs on several targets. Spurs want Manchester City forward Savinho, and they also want to add Neto to their attacking ranks. The Portugal international’s ‘pace scares people’, and Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi could do with the 26-year-old as the Lilywhites look to challenge for a top-five finish in the Premier League next term.
Neto ended last season with ten goals and ten assists in 52 appearances for the Blues. He started 30 Premier League games last term and has been a regular player for Chelsea since joining them from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Blues have a new manager, Xabi Alonso, and it is unknown whether the Spaniard has the Spurs target in his plans for next term. Neto can play across the three attacking positions, with his crossing, passing, holding on to the ball and playing direct free-kicks some of his major strengths.
