Savannah Steel extend franchise-worst losing streak to 8

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah Steel lost, 86-74, to the Charlotte Crown, which extended the worst losing streak in franchise history, on Thursday at Enmarket Arena.

Savannah played well in the first half, leading 44-37 at the break. However, in the second half, Charlotte outscored Savannah, 49-30.
Zee Spearman, who played 26 minutes coming off the bench, led the team in scoring with 27 points.
The Steel did not shoot well from behind the 3-point line. They only made two of their 12 attempts.
Savannah has not won a game since they defeated the Greensboro Groove at home, 79-58, on June 27.
The Steel will have a week off before they look to break the losing streak on the road against the Jacksonville Waves, the top team in the Upshot League, on July 31 at 7 p.m.
