The Texas Longhorns enter the 2026 season as a real title contender after closing out 2025 at 10-3 with a Citrus Bowl win over the Michigan Wolverines. Coach Steve Sarkisian has put together a massive roster reportedly worth up to $40 million to back quarterback Arch Manning.

So, expectations in Austin are as high as they've been in years, with a national title being the only outcome that would count as a success this time.
But the team caught some unexpected flak this week when an old locker-room video resurfaced on X. In the clip, a group of Longhorns players could be seen running through an awkward, high-energy dance routine to the song "Tweakin' Together," and it's been circulating as if it's a fresh look at the current team.

The college football community took the dance video seriously and didn't waste any time mocking the program's focus and professionalism.
One fan wrote, "Austin is definitely the city of sissies."
Another added, "They ain't winning a single game this year. Clock it."
A third viewer penned, "Them boys sagging and holding a pocket."
The fourth one claimed, "Why are they so feminine?"
Others went after the program's focus directly, with one user asking, "What does Sark got these boys drinking," and a rival fan piling on with, "no doubt Cam Coleman written all over this clown show."
The pushback wasn't limited to Texas fans, either. Oklahoma and Georgia communities jumped into the replies to needle the Longhorns ahead of the season, with one writing, "y'all can't lose to this...lol."
Even though several people in the replies pointed out that the video is old, the trolling hasn't stopped. One user claimed that the clip is from a few seasons ago and even named former players like Casey Cain, Johntay Cook, and Sydir Mitchell, and interestingly, none of whom are on the roster anymore.
Another fan pointed out the footage actually dates back to the 2023 season, the same year Texas went 12-2, won the Big 12, and made the playoffs. Still, opposing fan bases are recycling the clip to take jabs at the Longhorns. Whether the video is new or old, it’s just one more distraction Texas will have to tune out before kickoff.
